Peace Education

CSSS understands peace education as an essential component of quality basic education. This peace education is the process of promoting the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values needed to bring about behavior changes that will enable children, youth and adults to prevent conflict and violence.

One such effort is ‘Maitri Abhiyan : Overcome indifference. Win Peace’ a project by CSSS in 12 schools with support from Caritas India. Inspired by the message and teachings of Pope Francis, it is an effort to foster friendship and oneness by accepting that we belong to one human family so, that we can love each other beyond the human boundaries and thus embrace peaceful living.
